The Knight

Am I really reading a book this thick this fast? YOU BET! Patrick Bowers is an in-depth and detailed well paced thriller. While the spiritual takeaway of the book is not as in your face as some Christian fiction the moral compass and actions of the Bowers push the reader to think about the consequences of every action. This is my first Patrick Bowers novel and I feel like I didn't have time enough to enjoy it. Next time I'm gonna steal away for a day and make it a read in weekend.

Bowers has faced one of his nemesis' in this story before but feels the sting of a new faux and it's personal. The way the story weaves his personal and professional life is scary and exciting. The supporting characters are rich and well developed. THE KNIGHT has a beginning, middle and ending you don't wanna miss.

Different Kind of Wild, A: Is Your Faith Too Tame?

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WILD by Debbie Alsdorf should be a must read for every woman. Period. In a society where being different is the norm and being unique is looking like the "in crowd" this devotional will be a life changing embrace of truth. Through her conversational approach, vivid imagery and honest testimony Alsdorf inspires, invigorates and motivates. She makes her pen available as a tool for the Holy Spirit to convict us of hiding behind the things we say we do for Him.

In addition to bringing you closer to Him it will bring you closer to God's beloved...you. A tribute to WILD women everywhere I love the substance and agape foundation Alsdorf writes from as a daughter of the king. If you're looking for another book to beat you over the head with ten steps to greatness, fifteen points to prosperity and twenty ways to be "perfect" this is not the book for you. However if you desire to grow into the beautiful person Christ knows you to be when you allow Him to live through you run out to your nearest bookstore and pick it up. I recommend this book for any and everyone woman who desires to live on the WILD side. In a truly intimate relationship with the greatest love any of us mere mortals will ever have. A DIFFERENT KIND OF WILD was a different kind of read in the best way. Let Alsdorf help you unleash your WILD side ladies, you'll be so glad you did.

Things Left Unspoken

Things Left Unspoken: A Novel

neral she stays to help with renovation plans of her families home in Cottonwood, GA.  Her decision to stay is not received well by her husband. Instead of focusing on her lack of marital bliss she throws herself into her work.

As Jo Lynn continues to oversee the restoration of "the big house" she discovers things about her family, life and self. Secrets of her past may bring more pain than she is believes her family can bear. If this isn't enough she is wondering if the strange attacks and accidents during the renovation have something to do with Cottonwood's promising future or dark past.

Eva Marie Everson pens a moving and captivating contemporary novel. The characters are gripping from the first scene. The plot seems predictable but provides twists and turns that will cause the reader to ride an emotional roller coaster and love every high and low. She addresses several taboo subjects and offers great ministry take aways that are fused into the story in a masterful way. The description is detailed and well written. A story I enjoyed and believe is able to be enjoyed by fiction readers of any genre.
